START Button

Here is the Procedure to change the name of start Button in windows Xp.
Lets Start it Now

NOTE : If u do any type of mistake. I m not responsible for anything.

Resource needed:

1st. Microsoft Windows XP.
2nd. Resource Hacker. ( The Software is available in the end of this page)

Step 1: Install Resource Hacker.

Step 2: Start Resource hacker

Step 3: Go to the file menu of the Resource Hacker. Click on the Open Option and type C:\Windows\explorer.exe. A new dialogue box will appear.

Step 4: The category we are going to be using is String Table. Expand it by clicking the plus sign then navigate down to and expand Open folder 37 by the help of plus sign. Then click 1033.

Step 5: Delete the name START & type your New Start name Example: "AJAY"
CAUTION: Don't change anything else & Don't delete the Quarts ""

Step 5: Now Click Compile Script and then save the altered file using the Save As command on the File Menu. Do not use the Save command – Make sure to use the Save As command and choose a name for the file. Give your file name mention below exaple.

Step 6: EX: expolorerAJAY.exe

Step 7: Go to Run and type regedit in the. A new window will appear, then follow the given path.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ SOFTWARE\ Microsoft\ Windows NT\ CurrentVersion\ Winlogon

Step 8: When u Follow the above path. Come to right side of window that will appear & find a file named SHELL and open this file using double click.

Step 9: A new Dialogue box will appear. Delete the Old extension file & type your new Extension file which you saved in RES HACKER.

CAUTION: Write in this form explorerAJAY.exe Don't give any space this words.

Your lesson is complete. LOG OFF your system & then again start your system

If u has installed a good anti virus the anti virus warn you. Your registry has changed allow the changes there is nothing to worry.
